H2O/WATERWORKS at Del Ray Artisans Gallery

Opening Reception: Friday, November 4 from 7-9pm
Exhibit Dates: November 4 – 27, 2016

Water works for us—we love it, hate it, crave it, fear it. Water is beautiful, essential, dangerous and destructive. It can manifest itself as liquid, vapor or solid. Artists have depicted water in many ways for hundreds of years. For this exhibit, Del Ray Artisans member artists were asked to visually explore humankind’s relationship to water, or lack thereof, through any 2D and 3D medium, to show water’s effect on us and our effect on water, for enjoyment, health, political, ecological and environmental outcomes. The opening reception is Friday, November 4, 7-9pm at the gallery. All are welcome.

The H2O/WATERWORKS exhibit is at Del Ray Artisans gallery in the Colasanto Center, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia 22301. Gallery hours are: Thursdays 12-6pm, Fridays 12-9pm, Saturdays 12-9pm, and Sundays 12-6pm. The gallery is closed Thanksgiving Day but open rest of that weekend. The gallery is free, open to the public and handicap accessible. For more information, please visit www.DelRayArtisans.org or contact the curator Michele Reday Cook at mredaycook@gmail.com.
