Date:  Friday, June 2, 2017, 6:30-10pm at The Little Theatre of Alexandria, 600 Wolfe St, Alexandria, VA 22314.

6:30pm – Opening Reception featuring:

  • Heavy hors d’oeuvres
  • Soda and wine
  • And an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to play for your favorite fishy art

8–10pm – The play and intermission:

  • “Red, White and Tuna,” the comedy based in Tuna, Texas, performed by The Little Theatre of Alexandria actors
  • Champagne and cupcake Intermission, and the Art Raffle Drawing!

The Little Theatre of Alexandria’s “Red, White and Tuna” comedy production is based at the Lion’s Club in Tuna, Texas, where Patsy Cline never dies, and the residents never stop listening to OKKK, the local radio station. In this production, two actors again create the memorable population of Tuna, including a few hippies who have returned to their roots for their high school reunion. Is Tuna ready for them? Join the wild ride of quick changes and comedic characterizations. Hilarity ensues.

What do a “fish art” raffle, a Tuna Comedy and a champagne reception have in common?  They all lend fun, food and funds to the celebration of Del Ray Artisans’ 25 years of making art and supporting artists in Alexandria.  The “fish art” pieces on exhibit for raffle are by Del Ray Artisans (featuring works from Linda Elliff, Theresa Kulstad, Karen Schmitz, Guy Jones, John Bordner and Angela Calos).  Purchase raffle tickets at the reception and drop them in the fish bowl in front of the art piece you hope to win. The raffle drawing will be at the conclusion of the Champagne Celebration Intermission. Raffle tickets will also be available at the gallery before the show, and you need not be present to win.
