Earrings by Kim JoyWant to add a new style of earrings to your collection? How about stained glass earrings? They are light weight and an interesting addition. Students will choose glass color, cut, grind, wrap and solder glass to make 2 pair of stained glass earrings. Supply kit includes colored glass, copper foil, flux, solder, jump rings and ear wires. All tools are available for classroom use.

Class size:  3-10 participants.  Price is $60 for DRA members and $70 for non-members, plus $30 supply fee.

Meet The Instructor

Kim Joy,
GUAC Workshops: Stained Glass Earrings; Stained Glass Pendant; Kumihimo 

Kim Steinmuller Joy was raised in upstate New York and now lives and works in Woodbridge, VA. She has been a stained glass artist and teacher since 1982. Her works are in private and public collections worldwide. As a bead artist, Kim has been working since 2001. She belongs to National Capital Art Glass Guild, Del Ray Artisans and PMC Guild.  Her work can be found at Del Ray Artisans in Del Ray, VA, Local Colour LLC in Alexandria, VA and at local craft shows.
